Welcome to CAP’s atlas of municipal climate actions. This atlas encourages municipalities and communities to explore municipal climate mitigation actions undertaken in Ontario and get inspired to take up new and creative approaches to reduce the severity of climate change and build a resilient society.

Submit an Action

We want to grow our database of information so that municipal leaders and practitioners can see all the great climate actions happening across the GTA. If you have a project you’d like to add, please fill out the project submission form. Once we’ve reviewed your submission, it will be added to the database.

This atlas has been funded by the Clean Air Council.

Clean Air Council, a project of Clean Air Partnership (CAP), is a network of over 40 municipalities and Public Health Units across Ontario that are committed to taking climate action. This atlas currently reflects the ambitious climate mitigation actions undertaken by the CAC municipalities.

While this atlas is currently displaying actions from the CAC municipalities, we welcome climate actions from municipalities across Canada. We want to grow our database of information so that municipal leaders and practitioners can see all the significant climate actions happening in municipalities across Canada. Please fill out the project submission form if you have a project you’d like to add. Once we’ve reviewed your submission, it will be added to the atlas.
