Timeline: 2019 onwards
Weavers Hill is an affordable housing facility located in Mississauga. It is one of the larger emitters of GHG’s in the Region’s housing portfolio, making it a good candidate to undergo a deep energy retrofit. This project seeks to achieve a net zero carbon state, which will be a first among Peel’s housing stock. At the conclusion of the project, Weavers Hill will see an energy reduction of 41% and an overall GHG emission reduction of 91%. The completion of this project will be a huge success for the Region and also create a path to replicate this process throughout Peel’s housing portfolio.
