Panel Discussion: Electrifying Municipal Fleets / Discussion en groupe : Électrification des flottes municipales

January 31, 2023 by

Join Clean Air Partnership and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) for a panel discussion on scaling up your municipal fleet electrification. The panel discussions will focus on examples from municipalities across Canada. While planning their switch to electric vehicle (EV) fleets, municipalities are encountering several policy and procurement challenges. Despite these barriers, some municipalities are scaling up their EV Fleets by crafting unique solutions. Three featured initiatives include:

Kingston, ON – Developed a leasing policy and are leasing EV fleets till supply chain issues ease, and advanced EV technology becomes available in the market.
West Vancouver, BC – Conducted a full electrical system update of two key municipal facilities to install chargers for their existing EVs and future EVs.
Calgary, AB – Acquired more than 30 EVs in 3 years – has one of the fastest-growing EV fleets in western Canada.

Join us for a panel discussion with municipal fleet experts this February and participate in discussions around overcoming your fleet electrification challenges.

Featured Panelists:
Adam Smith, Manager, Transformational Projects, Fleet Services, City of Calgary
Emily Willobee, Senior Manager, Engineering Services, District of West Vancouver
