Ontario has a fragmented benchmarking landscape with Provincial EWRB, BOMA Toronto’s Race2Reduce program, and a number of emerging municipal programs, and the result is less than the sum of its parts. Collaboration across the region supported by a robust analytics platform would allow for Ontario municipalities to leverage the full value of benchmarking while addressing the frustrations of building owners caused by redundancy and the perceived lack of value from existing programs. BOMA Toronto is exploring a program similar to Building Benchmark BC, where municipalities can subscribe to and gain all the functionality needed to support their local benchmarking goals. In this webinar, we will explore the gaps and enabling factors to drive building performance via benchmarking and the opportunity for collective effort.
