2007 Fresh Air Fair
The 2007 Fresh Air Fair took place on Sunday, June 3 at Dufferin Grove Park (Dufferin and Bloor Street West) in Toronto. The Fair attracted people from the local community and across the city with its exciting array of performances and fun activities for all ages. The Fair featured an interactive “journey into climate change”, Aboriginal drummers, a speakers corner booth, as well as environmental booths and the “Give Us Your Air Pollution Solution” Essay Award Ceremony. This event was a lead up to the 2007 Smog Summit, which was held at Toronto City Hall on June 7.
The Fresh Air Fair engaged children, youth and families in activities that raise awareness of the importance of clean air. It actively demonstrated how working together can motivate action and make a difference in the future for the sake of our environment and health. The activities encourage active lifestyle choices, while promoting their benefits in improving local air quality and a healthier self. The Clean Air Partnership would like to thank all who participated in the event, helping to make it so much fun.
