Adapting to Climate Change in Ontario: Towards the Design and Implementation of a Strategy and Action Plan

The Ontario Ministry of the Environment has released a report titled Adapting to Climate Change in Ontario: Towards the Design and Implementation of a Strategy and Action Plan, authored by Ontario’s Expert Panel on Climate Change Adaptation. The report lists a broad range of recommendations to help Ontario understand climate change impacts, reduce risks and take advantage of beneficial opportunities resulting from climate change.

Dr. Jennifer Penney, Director of Research for the Clean Air Partnership, has been chosen to present a paper on CAP’s work on adaptation with the City of Toronto, which was made possible by a grant from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment. The presentation is titled, Climate Change Adaptation Planning in Toronto: Progress and Challenges and will take place in Marseille, France on June 29th, 2009.
