The new Rideau Valley Conservation Centre, completed in December 2007, is Ottawa's most environmentally-friendly public building. The Conservation Centre is the headquarters for the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority as well as the Visitor Centre for the surrounding Beryl Gaffney Park.
