Turn engines off at school

Simply turning down the temperature before going to sleep at night is just one way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Parents can do their part for the environment by turning off their engines at school.

Eva Ligeti, executive director of the Clean Air Partnership, said in a release that parents and guardians picking up and dropping off children at schools should turn off their engines when stopped or parked for more than 10 seconds.

Throughout the month of November, The Clean Air Partnership will be visiting schools across Toronto to share the idle-free message.
